Governors

The Governing Body has the responsibility for supporting the school and also holding them to account. All Governors share the schools aims and values and are committed to ensuring that the school has the necessary resources and strategic direction to ensure that every child receives the best possible education.

The Governing Body work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the school is well run and led. There are ten Governors who represent our wider school community and offer a wide mix of skills, experiences and backgrounds which are used for the benefit of the school.

The full Governing Body meets formally once a term. In addition there are Sub-committees that also meet regularly to focus on particular areas in more detail. Governors make regular visits the school to see it in action it’s also important for us to see the School in action, we make regular visits to classrooms, speak with staff and join in School events and celebrations.
